I like how a particularly horrible day can turn into a good one just by finding out something hilarious. Oh, life.

Even History of Magic class isn't too boring now.

Unfortunately, today did not start off well as I accidentally spilled a cup of coffee over a Second Year and ruined his assignments in the process. Not exactly a good thing to do, especially when said Second Year is very emotional.

Nettie, you're in luck. A Fourth Year I'm tutoring gave away her kitten to me because I helped her get an E grade for her Arithmancy essay (don't worry; she has another one to keep her company. I'm not a kitten stealer). And it's not even ginger!

I'm not usually one to bring up my personal problems over these journals, but I am having a SERIOUS EMERGENCY.


I guess I went flying for too long today and now I have a REALLY HORRIBLE RASH on my patoot arse. Seriously, I THINK IT'S SPREADING! DOES ANYONE HAVE BABY-POWDER? Or something similar?? Also, I need someone to help me put it on, since it's in one of those HARD TO REACH places and all!


PS - DOES ANYONE HAVE AN EXTRA SET OF BEDSHEETS? I JUST WET MINE AGAIN AND THE HOUSE ELVES REFUSE TO CHANGE THEM. AGAIN. They said 10 times in one week is just too gross for them, what's that about????

Professor Wiggleswade is being fascinating as usual, which is why I'm writing in this as she's talking about the causes of the 13th Goblin Rebellion. Congratulations to those who are actually listening; I applaud your obviously strong willpower.

I think I'm going to thank Merlin, who's probably rolling around in his grave wanting to get out and enjoy the sun right as I'm writing this, that the school year is starting off in a normal, most unexciting way, which is perfectly fine by me -- except that for some reason the Bloody Baron kept following me around last night. That wasn't too pleasant.

Perdie, what on Earth am I supposed to do with this donkey? I have to admit it seems to enjoy walking on the beach, though. And thanks I think?!

Oh yeah, we're all at the Bahamas right now, so if you sent me presents, I wouldn't be able to open it until tomorrow. Sorry! Thank Merlin for beaches, though.

I'm still kind of disconcerted that I barely have two days before school starts to properly enjoy my freedom to use magic.

Today I woke up at 1 o'clock in the afternoon when I smelled something burning from downstairs. For a moment I thought Nettie had set the house on fire, but she hadn't. Dad was home from St. Mungo's for lunch break and he attempted to cook us dinner because he has been very happy that we're home. Of course, his attempt failed (as usual) because we ended up looking at a very suspicious looking burnt dish and I had to throw them all away. We ate normal food, which I had to order, and afterwards I took a walk outside, only to realise that I was bored so I went inside again, then realised that I had nothing to do there either, so here I am now outside once more on the porch and writing this entry. It certainly has been an eventful day.

Well, I have to say that last night's keeling over performance during the Slytherin gathering was the best I've ever put on. Not that I pretend to keel over a lot (nor do I plan to actually keel over in the near future), but you have to admit that it was quite entertaining. Even for me.

Charlie, Flynn -- are we going to that vicars and tarts thing? Sounds interesting. Fishy, but interesting. I'm not sure whether I should allow my sister to go or not. Hmm.



People need to stop throwing snowballs at me right now.

Judging by the way our new friend was running away from us, I'm pretty sure we've succeeded into scaring her, didn't we Nettie? Most of the credit goes to you, though, for being creepily quiet the whole time and staring at her as if you were going to eat her.

Then again, I suppose it wasn't a good idea telling her that we had to go to a juvenile delinquents' boarding school for burning down two of our neighbours' houses just because they stole apples from our apple tree. Hmm.

Perdie, did you actually bring my death date forward? Or was it near-death date? I crashed into someone during the skiing lesson (I don't know who it was, though, because I couldn't see their face. I apologise if it was you) but it's all right, I'm not injured except that my leg kind of hurts.

I have a feeling that the astronomy lesson tonight will be a hideously long one. Looking at the stars always make me sleepy, which was the reason I dropped the subject. And now I will stop, because then I'll be talking about the upcoming school term, and I don't want to bore everyone to death.

Is it true that we're going to have karaoke tomorrow?

Just wondering, of course. I might not even end up participating. Merlin knows how better it would be if I keep on hiding my secret talent at singing. Now I just need to figure out what I need to do for the rest of the day. No, Nettie, I'm not going to take you out because you need to keep resting.

Don't get me wrong, I do find history and architecture to be one of the most important knowledge everyone needs to possess --

But this is frankly getting boring and listening to people explaining about the churches is making me fall asleep. I'm actually hoping that the food they'll be giving us for lunch will be delicious enough for me to get rid of all the dullness from my brain.

I would like to know why Benedict has decided to make us all practice Quidditch here. Anyone that can give me the answer to that will get a gold medal. I would like a proper holiday, please.
